Technics has released their most sophisticated turntable system to date, the SL-1200MK7. This professional turntable is the result of years of research and development and the incorporation of cutting-edge technologies.

In a traditional direct drive setup, the platter is directly driven by a motor with a modest rotational speed. This approach provides excellent efficiency, strong motor torque, and accurate rotational precision.

The SL-1200MK7 employs a coreless direct drive motor, which utilises a coreless stator to remove cogging (rotation irregularities). The SL-1200MK7's smooth spinning and outstanding sound reproduction with exceptional clarity are made possible by rotor magnets that have been optimised to enhance efficiency and boost torque performance to that of the SL-1200MK5.
