Pioneer has created a brand new digital DJ controller dedicated for use with Rekordbox DJ, the DDJ-1000, a 4-channel controller that includes a multitude of professional performance features designed to give you the most out of the latest version of Rekordbox. The DDJ-1000 features a brand new user interface that mimics a club-standard Pioneer NXS2 set-up while the compact design makes this unit highly-portable which makes it perfect for parties and events where a full club set-up isn’t necessary, but all the features and functionalities are. The jog wheels now feature a high-definition LCD screen in the center of each; this displays essential track information such as playback time, BPM, waveform, and playback position as well as Hot Cue and Looping points. This information is entirely customisable, so you only see what you want to and means you don’t need to stare at your laptop during a mix or scratch routine.

The DDJ 1000 is equipped with Pioneer’s legendary effects, four Sound Colour effects and 14 Beat FX grant you the ability to create exciting new textures and add some creative flair to your mixes. Each deck is also equipped with eight multicoloured performance pads with switchable pad modes allowing you to trigger Hot Cues, Samples, Loops, Beat Jumps, and Pad FX with ease while Keyboard mode lets you play a Hot Cue in differing semitones so you can improvise musical phrases as if you’re playing a synthesizer. A highly-durable Magvel Pro crossfader enables you to make over 10 million movements making it perfect for intricate scratch routines as well as smooth transitions.

Dual USB ports allow you to connect two laptops to the controller simultaneously meaning that over-complicated DJ changeovers are a thing of the past. Thanks to the four external inputs that enable you to connect additional DJ players and turntables, this means you can use the DDJ-1000 as a standalone DJ mixer without the need to connect to a PC/Mac. Other outstanding features include Key Shift and Key Sync controls for harmonic mixing, an advanced super-fast search function which lets you rapidly reach any playback position and a Page function that allows you to access up to 16 Hot Cues on the eight performance pads.

An aluminium and acrylic top panel finish gives the digital controller a sleek, premium-quality finish while the slender controls let you perform with fluidity. The DDJ-1000 comes with Pioneer’s world-renowned build-quality and high-grade audio circuitry which is designed to last for years to come. The unit is supplied with a free copy of Rekordbox v5.1, Pioneer’s own DJ software application, which uses a KORETECH engine and a newly developed analysis algorithm to pre-scan your tracks, so you have all your track information like BPM, Key and Playback time at your disposal before you load the track into a deck.
