The Yamaha MSP3A studio monitor features a two-way bass reflex design as well as a built-in power amplifier that has been designed for the speaker units to provide clear natural sound. The inbuilt power amp delivers 22w of power straight to the drivers, resulting in a massive sound. A built-in magnetic shield prevents interference with your monitor TV, computer, and phone, and functions as a Faraday cage to avoid unwanted clicks and pops from spoiling your sound, making it ideal for post-production facilities.

The speaker's back panel is outfitted with a number of audio ports that allow you to connect to a variety of audio sources and equipment. An XLR connector connects directly to a +4dB mixing output, while RCA connections and a 14-inch TRS Jack input connect to electronic musical instruments including keyboards and synthesisers. A tone control allows you to tailor your sound to your monitoring environment and successfully adjusts for abnormalities produced by speaker placement or room resonance. The bottom of the MSP speaker has threaded holes for attaching an optional bracket for mounting to a ceiling or wall.
