The Allen & Heath Xone:K2 is a sophisticated, lightweight universal MIDI controller that integrates effortlessly with your favourite DJ software. Completely configurable

The Xone:K2 is a small MIDI controller that works with Ableton Live, Virtual DJ, MixVibes, Mixx, and Traktor Pro. It can also be used as a midi controller for lighting and VJ applications. The xone k2 controller is completely configurable, allowing you to MIDI map it to your exact needs. It has 52 controls, including 12 analogue and six endless rotary encoders with a push switch, four linear faders, and 30 backlit buttons. With the layer press, the controls can be used in three layers, giving the controller even more versatility with 171 MIDI commands. Example MIDI maps are included with the Xone:K2, so you can start performing right away.

Multiple layers

The latching layers enable you to delegate controls to multiple layers, allowing you to use a single control in three different ways. The latching layers system will connect all of the controls, and the controls can change colour depending on which layer you're using as a visual reminder. The Xone:K2 also has a high-quality four-channel (2 stereo) 48kHz audio interface, allowing you to monitor your tracks with headphones or feed audio via a PA system or attach it to an external DJ mixer.

Extending control functionality

There is an X:Link ethernet in/output for extending control functionality as well as distributing power and data to X:Link compatible units such as the Xone:DB4/DB2 and Xone:43/43C mixers. It extends MIDI data capabilities without using additional USB ports on your computer when used in conjunction with any X:Link compatible unit.
